FOUNDER: Kate

Meet Kate, a nature nerd, sea dipper & wild walker who thrives in the outdoors, especially when it’s raining! In her life, she has stomped countless miles of Cornish & UK footpaths and trails.

Like many others, Cornwall’s diverse coastline and colourful countryside inspires and excites her. As does connecting with nature and the endless new facts and stories that comes with exploring.

Her entrepreneurial spirit has seen her take part in many careers and skill development including digital marketing, writing, business strategy, operations, web design & build and more.

Nonetheless, as her research into walking routes, the benefits of the outdoors and nature connectedness grew, so did the idea of Cornish Explorers. Kate started a new venture.

The goal is to build a strong community of outdoor enthusiasts in Cornwall and to inspire, guide and connect people with the natural world. Be it through guided walks, nature talks and explorative writing – Kate will be there to share her passion and knowledge of the great Cornish outdoors.

Kate is has her Mountain Leader: Lowland Leader Qualification and is a qualified Outdoor First Aider. Furthermore, she is an official SWCP coast path connector & walk leader and volunteer community speaker for the Cornwall Wildlife Trust.
